Cervical Cancer Screening Training

Each year millions of women are affected with cervical cancer. Cervical cancer screening is crucial for early diagnosis and treatment which in turn can save lives.

On International HPV Awareness Day, March 4, 2024, St. Paul Institute for Reproductive Health and Rights has provided training on cervical cancer screening for clinical year two students at SPHMMC. Dr. Bethel Dereje, a gynecologic oncologist at SPHMMC, delivered the training which included theoretical session coupled with hands on training is the first cohort of the year 2024. The early hands-on exposure in the training will help make the students champions in their communities in the future.
